Title: Special Assistant
Reports to: President and CEO
Job Summary: The Special Assistant to the President who helps set priorities for assignments. The Special Assistant serves as the primary administrative assistant for the President and provides support to the vice president of communications. In this capacity, this individual serves as the development manager for the Culture of Freedom Initiatives major gift prospects and donors. He or she will work with the president to design and executive a moves management strategy and help execute a larger donor engagement and relationship development strategy for the organization’s top projects. He or she will also have a number of administrative responsibilities including serving as scheduler for the President’s day-to-day calendar and his travel to advance the mission of The Culture of Freedom Initiative with key constituents. Work in this and other capacities includes drafting correspondence, record keeping on donor interactions, conducting research on donors, preparing reports, executing routine administrative support including but not limited to the handling of credit card statements, expense reimbursements, and monitoring emails.
Job Duties: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring that a moves management strategy is developed and executed for the COFI’s top donors and prospects
• Primary scheduler for the President
• Drafting correspondence and keeping records on donor interactions
• Tracking measurements and outcomes for the Board of Directors
• Building a strategy to keep the Culture of Freedom Initiative board and donors engaged
• Providing general data entry
• Researching and updating mailing information
• Scheduling staff meetings
• Performing other duties as assigned
Skill Factors:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
• Computer: Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office and Outlook

• Strong writer
• Ability to multi-task
• High degree of professionalism
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Excellent customer-service skills
