Reports to: Archdiocesan Chancellor
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Director of Pastoral Ministries to provide leadership for and promote collaboration between the following archdiocesan ministries:
- Youth Ministry
- Young Adult/College Campus Ministries
- Marriage and Family Life
- Human Life and Dignity
- Inter-Cultural Ministries
- Corrections Ministry
- Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Dialogue
This position reports to the Chancellor of the archdiocese and has a key leadership role in promoting and enhancing ministry that is engaging and effective for the Church in Central and Southern Indiana.
Candidates must be professed and practicing Catholics in good standing with and faithful to the Church with a minimum of 5 years of highly successful ministry experience in a leadership role. A bachelor’s degree in catechetics, family ministry, religious education or a related field is required with a master’s degree in one of these fields preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual (English/Spanish). A demonstrated ability to promote collaboration and an articulated vision for fostering the missionary discipleship of Jesus are essential. Excellent oral and written communications skills, strong administrative and organizational skills, the ability to foster teamwork, and the ability to model lifelong learning by a commitment to acquiring new skills and mentoring others to do the same are also required.
