Please pray for those who lost their lives, homes, and businesses in Nashville, Tennessee during the tornado around midnight on Tuesday (March 3). Parts of town are devastated, and the historic Church of the Assumption, which several other Christendom alumni and I regularly attend (and which a former Christendom chaplain, Fr William Fitzgerald, was stationed at for a couple of years) has been badly damaged.

Please pray for our parish community and that we will be able to repair this 161-year-old building successfully very soon, especially as we are approaching Easter and had planned to celebrate a beautiful traditional Latin Mass Triduum (the only one within Nashville city limits).

Pray also in thanksgiving that our pastor is safe and that the main structures of the buildings are standing. If I hear anything about whether specific members of the Christendom community are safe or need prayers and assistance, I will try to pass it along. Our Lady of the Assumption, pray for us!
