Children’s Rosary:  Year Long Internship

West Hartford, CT

(Volunteer, housing provided)

Looking for an individual interested in doing a gap year following College. Position to begin August of 2020 and continue for one year. Position is volunteer but housing will be provided. Individual will work closely with the founder of the nonprofit Children’s Rosary and work with other volunteers in the organization.

Looking for a devoted Catholic who wants to help the next generation to grow in love of God and to have a deeper relationship with the Blessed Mother. The goal of the Children’s Rosary is to support the prayer lives of children and to help them grow in holiness. A person who shares these aspirations will be a good fit for this position.

The key responsibilities of the intern will include:

Continue and expand outreach to parochial schools through serving as a liaison with Diocese and Archdiocese School Administrators. Direct communication with Principals and schoolteachers to help encourage the establishment of school-wide Children’s Rosary groups within the classrooms. Opportunities to speak and visit local Parochial schools may be possible.

Editor of the Children’s Rosary Newsletter: Vineyard. Creative opportunities available to help present the Mission of the Children’s Rosary through the newsletter, design of fliers and promotional materials.

Mentorship of new Children’s Rosary Groups in parishes, schools and orphanages through phone, written and electronic communication. Groups currently exist in over 30 countries. Coordinating and story gathering of the experiences of various Children’s Rosary groups on different continents to be featured on our website and newsletter.

Website Administration – training will be provided to assist with management a WordPress website. Ideally the intern will provide assistance to new Children’s Rosary prayer group leaders who have questions registering their groups. Assistance is also needed for group leaders living in rural areas such as in Africa or the Middle East where sufficient internet capabilities are not available, and they require assistance to register their prayer groups. Management of these registrations and the prayer petition board will be needed.

Correspondence with donors and those inquiring about the Children’s Rosary.

Assistance with recording incoming donations of rosaries and financial contributions.

Collaboration and creative input on new instructional videos and testimonial videos for the Children’s Rosary.

Collaboration and communication with EWTN Global Catholic Network on airings of Children’s Rosary videos and the Children’s Rosary products they carry through EWTN Religious Catalogue.

Assist Catholic Radio Stations in obtaining original Children’s Rosary recordings that match their specific needs. Relationships have already been established with many stations, but many are interested in further materials that we have available. Ideally the intern would be the contact person for radio station requests.

Help to establish international locations for Children’s Rosary materials to be published. Continuation of early collaboration with international Catholic Distributors – specifically in India, Mexico and Germany.

The above are various areas the intern can become a part the mission work of the Children’s Rosary. The intern is not expected to do all of the items listed above. Rather, this is a sampling of potential ways the intern can become engaged in the Children’s Rosary and help the prayer group movement spread.

Strong written and oral communication skills will be a plus for this position. Knowledge of a second language is an asset but not a necessity.
