The University of Mary School of Arts and Sciences seeks qualified applicants for a position as Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning August 2021.  Responsibilities include teaching 12 credits a semester (three 4 credit courses), and being actively involved in service to the program, the University, and the community.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and rank.
The successful candidate will display enthusiasm for teaching and learning and be able to teach many general mathematics courses, including courses such as Intermediate Algebra and Math for Elementary Teachers.  A background in Mathematics Education is preferred, and experience teaching K-12 students would be a plus.  An advanced degree in Mathematics Education is preferred, but an advanced degree in mathematics or statistics will certainly be considered given relevant experience.  Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to help students of all levels learn and appreciate mathematics, will be involved in program development, and will maintain an active record of scholarship.
