The University of Notre Dame is seeking a Communications Program Director.

The Communications Program Director will develop strategies for and oversee the implementation of a wide variety of PR, marketing, and recruitment initiatives to meet the MICL’s communications and outreach needs. The Director will be responsible for managing the development of messaging and campaigns on mcgrath.nd.edu, Church Life Journal, social media, email, print publications, and at trade shows and events. The Program Director will interface directly with the institute’s executive director and program directors from across the institute to help them achieve their development and recruitment goals via effective, targeted communication utilizing CRM tools (Hubspot), email/social media campaigns, content offers and media relations tactics. The Program Director will be responsible for developing and incorporating new strategies to raise the profile of the institute among Church leaders, the media and potential donors. Target audiences will include those within the Church (bishops, priests, deacons, diocesan leaders, lay ministers, parishioners); within the University (campus faculty and students, alumni, donors, University leadership); and the media. The Program Director of Communications supervises a staff that includes a project manager, publicity specialist, and student workers/interns. The Program Director will also be responsible for interfacing with vendors that provide CRM, graphic design, and strategic support.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; Project management; development, implementation, and assessment of web-based communications strategies; conversant with best practices in print, electronic, web, and social media communications; knowledge of CRM solutions and content marketing; superior verbal and written communications skills; highly skilled at collaboration and prioritization, including guiding work for others.

Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field; 5-6 years of Communications/Marketing experience that includes supervisory duties
