The Receptionist is responsible for the administrative duties of the front office. This role is the first point of contact with visitors and callers. The person who fills this role needs to be people oriented and enjoy supporting the people in the office with administrative needs.   This a full-time position located in the National Office. The Receptionist will report to the Human Resources Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Welcomes and acknowledges each guest with a smile, eye contact and friendly greeting, using the guest’s name when possible.
  • Handle administrative activities for the office including answer and directing calls to employees, checking voicemails, etc.
  • Responsible for opening and closing of office each day which includes ensuring all lights are turned on/off, kitchens are stocked and cleaned (dishes put away, counters cleaned), etc.
  • Maintain an orderly and friendly reception area and common area spaces.
  • Co-manage office and conference room calendars and assist with scheduling needs.
  • Open and review all mail for the office and deliver to appropriate staff members.
  • Monitor and enforce security procedures to ensure secure and safe office operations.
  • Accept and delivery package deliveries.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Work Environment
This position is headquartered in our Arlington, VA office. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones. This position will have a private office.

Position Type/Expected Hours
This position is a full-time position. Office hours are 8:30 am -5:30 pm.

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to communicate well over the phone and in person in English.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Possess high level of professionalism.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Able to take direction and work both independently and as a cooperative team member.
  • Must be pro-life.
