Prestigious preparatory school in Manhasset, Long Island seeks an exceptional candidate for Principal of its Lower (K-5) and Middle (6-8) Schools for the upcoming academic year.

The candidate must not only be a practicing Catholic, but an intentional disciple, who upholds without qualification or reservation the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church, who esteems the Catholic intellectual tradition, and who models the moral and intellectual virtues of human flourishing, all of which serve the universal call to holiness.

The candidate must also fully embrace the ecclesial vocation of school administrator as a sharing in the pastoral and educational mission of the Church, working in harmony with and under the pastor and the president and with those responsible for admissions, development and the administration of the Upper School (9-12).

Specific Requirements and Duties of Position:

  • Have experience teaching elementary/high school students or equivalent
  • Possess a love learning and care for children
  • Collaborate with Pastor, President and Upper School Principal in advancing school mission
  • Exhibit strong organizational and communication skills
  • Complete faculty and staff evaluations and provide constructive feedback for improvement
  • Engage all stakeholders of the educational community with clarity and effectiveness
  • Exhibit continuous improvement in educational leadership
  • Ensure robust faith formation and academic excellence
  • Work in collaboration with faculty and staff to review ongoing assessments and academic programs to support student success
  • Foster a community with the faculty with a shared responsibility of success of students
  • Work well with facilities and other campus staff
  • Work with the Admissions Office to strengthen marketing and recruitment efforts
  • Collaborate with the Development Office to support Annual Fund and initiatives
  • Be a problem-solver who resolves issues with creativity, compassion and tact


  • Baptized Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church
  • Masters Degree in Administration & School Leadership (preferred)
  • Certified New York State School Building Leader (preferred)
