Sunday July 23, starting at 7 p.m. in the Chester-Belloc Room (Regina Coeli Building) there will be a “quodlibet.”
In the medieval university, teaching masters would occasionally do public quodlibet’s.
In a quodlibet, the teacher would field and respond to a wide variety of questions raised by his students. Students were free to ask any question they wished (within certain limits).
Our quodlibet will be structured the same way. It will be almost like a “theology on tap” but without a formal talk and without the subject matter be strictly limited to theology.
Christendom College Professors Bracy Bersnak (Political Science and Economics), Joseph Arias (Theology), and Mike Brown and John Cuddeback (Philosophy) will be fielding questions from the crowd.
Should be a lot of fun.
You will be free to ask any questions you wish (again within certain restraints).
This event is open to anyone/everyone – students, alumni, parents, cousins, neighbors, etc.
Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. If you don’t have any questions, at least come for the conversation which we hope will be vibrant and stimulating.
If you wish to come, please email Mike Brown at mbrown@christendom.edu to make sure there is sufficient food and drinks.
